NON-NEGOTIABLE

Never mix cleaners.

Stain removal is not the place to improvise chemistry. This probe uses one labelled product at a time and stops when the material or chemical risk is unclear.

Never mix bleach or disinfectant with another cleaner.

The CDC says mixing household bleach or disinfectants with other cleaners can release vapors that are dangerous to breathe.

Read the label and surface care guide.

Use only the product, dilution, ventilation and protective equipment specified by the label and the maker of the material. Patch-test an unseen area first.

Stop when the surface is changing.

Color loss, finish damage, unusual odor, heat, liquid damage, porous mold or a wet backing is a stop signal. Use the maker or a qualified professional.
